I build the
whole product.

A product is never finished at the interface. Someone has to own the schema, the business rules, authentication, the events moving between services, the pipeline that ships it, the server it lands on, and the question of what happens six months later. That part is the job for me. I write Go and Python, keep the facts in PostgreSQL, connect the pieces with Kafka, and build the interfaces in React and Next.js. I stay until it runs without me.

    Full-Stack / Systems Integration Engineer

    Go is the main language here. I write the services and integrations behind commercial venues: the venue platform on the Next.js App Router, POS terminals, isolated networks, and the Linux servers that keep all of it online.

    Backend services in Go and Python — Django and FastAPI behind REST APIs, data modelled in PostgreSQL, events piped through Kafka, releases shipped with Kubernetes and Jenkins from Linux VPS machines. React and Next.js on the front.

    Client projects taken end to end: brief, architecture, interface, backend, launch. No layer between the client and the person building the product.

Who I am

I'm Rodion Vitenberg, a product engineer based in Cyprus. I get hired for the whole product rather than one layer of it: the data model, the services under it, the interface above it, and the machines it runs on. Go is my main backend language, and a lot of the work is Python — Django and FastAPI over PostgreSQL, with Kafka carrying events between services. The frontend has been JavaScript, React and Next.js for as long as I've been doing this. I stay on a project after launch, because that's when the real questions start.

What I do

  • Backend services in Go — APIs, integrations, background workers, and the plumbing between systems.
  • Python backends on Django and FastAPI, with the data modelled in PostgreSQL.
  • Event-driven work with Apache Kafka: streams, message buses and queues between services.
  • JavaScript, React and Next.js frontends — interfaces, animation, and client-side flows that hold up.
  • Delivery and infrastructure: Linux VPS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins pipelines, Nginx, SSL, monitoring.
  • Products end to end — e-commerce, booking, dashboards, CRMs, SaaS — plus payments, messaging and third-party APIs.

Where I work

Cyprus, mostly Limassol and Larnaca, with clients across Europe. You talk to the person writing the code; there is no account manager in between.

How I price

  • The price comes from the actual brief. I don't sell packages invented before I know what you need.
  • Single fixes, integrations and features work fine as one-off tasks.
  • Bigger products get planned in stages, so you always know what is being built and what it costs.
  • The goal isn't the cheapest version. It's something you can run, maintain and extend next year.
